Sit N Go time

Took half my roll out, $10 and went for the six seater sit n go. It's a bit of a nightmare with 7 minute levels. I double up quickly, raised JJ flop 77J, no action, lots of action on turn 5 when a rock hits his set. I tread water a bit while total mayhem ensues, all-ins for medium stacks with KTo v AJs, that kind of thing. Soon we're down to 3, I'm scared to get involved as some fish have made it this far, and I am playing with half my bankroll after all. I manage to take out the low stack 3rd with a KK push. I dominate the OtherGuy in the heads up, total chips are 9000, I have 6, he has 3, but the blinds are 200-400 and are dictating the whole pattern of the game. I have some great reads on him, have been watching his whole game for 25 mins, and if I'm in position I know when he's hit, when he hasn't. He slowplays flopped top pair til I river him with two pair and it's all over. $42 is a huge boost to my roll.

Double up

The players are so loose at this level that I feel I could flop a monster and be horrifically outdrawn at any time. My entire bankroll is with me at the table, and I have lost 20% of it to two horrific beats. The players are genuinely awful. So awful that I nearly pass comment on it, then remember they're just beginners. They will spunk all they have on a gutshot or backdoor flush. Within 20 minutes I've hit a couple of big hands, I flop a straight and slowplay it. By the river the board has paired. I'm put all in. For a moment I consider that he's slowplayed a flopped set, then I remember what level I'm at and call. He had flopped top pair (7s) and was slowplaying it. Double up to $22. Sit out immediately.

The Beginning

Signed up to Victor Chandler FreeCash, no deposit, didn't even submit a card number. One day later, there is my bright shiny $11. Didn't toil for it. Didn't pay tax on it. Didn't put up with some moany boss for it. Free, gratis, fell from the sky. The idea is that I blow it all within an hour and have to reload, now I'm registered anyway. Plan to slowly build it up a bit, then use it as a bankroll for something much bigger. The early days are difficult though. I'm playing $0.10-$0.20 No Limit Texas Holdem. The players are awful. Takes some adjusting to, my regular game is $2-4 or $3-6 No Limit.
